Clara Lledó Arastey – Autre.cla
Artist in training, visual and pictorial. I enjoy the street and cannot live without it.
“Give me sun and call me a fool.”
In my work there is a recurrent to anthropological and sociological writings and essays. With special importance in the city, the people and all the spaces that derive from it since they are the environment with which I surround myself and from which I have documented myself, using the spaces that I inhabit. The relationship between people and places is a point of cohesion in my work. Always strongly rooted in public space
I collect writings to later materialize them in painting and photography projects, digital and analog. With special interest in black and white photography due to its peculiarities in terms of expressive resources since, especially for me, they mean a departure from the human eye; therefore a new vision is collected in the relevant frames. With painting what I enjoy the most is doing it on the street. I also use clippings of images and writing to introduce them through collage.
Although my work is not very extensive, it has a critical and committed background.
I love metaphors and more if only I understand them.-
Fear of being pigeonholed into something.
