Project Description
How are you? – Good and very bad
This work utilized the results of the online survey on the question “Comó estás?”. The online survey was accessible via signs that I tagged with QR codes and placed in the El Carmen area. The survey was open for one week.
It was an interesting finding to see that residents tended to write less in online surveys than when they wrote their answers manually. A few also threw short answers into the box for me, and so there were also a few answers that contained complete or even multiple sentences. Thus the results here are not fully stent from the signs, but were sorted somewhat.
The area of the “decamp” I filmed at sunset, because this inspecial in art is often associated with the end or death. I perceive the “decamps” as the corpses of the city, remnants of one existing.
The variety of visuals is modest, because I wanted to emphasize the relation of the single words that the inhabitants gave me, and I did not like to be distracted with changing images. Like a small resume of our constitution.
The emergence of the answers corresponds exactly to the number that the residents gave me.
This elaboration is in relation with the areas of public transport, plazas and streets. The images show some of the locations of the signs that led to the online survey.
