Project Description
Paint and color
Due to the pandemic, children experienced a radical change in their lives, changing their routine, ways of relating, playing, etc.
At first, our work consisted of painting a children’s play area completely white, so that children could express themselves freely.
Since we don´t have the necessary permission to do this, we have decided to turn the proposal to a folio. Thus, children can paint it and share it with us in this exhibition.
The goal is to create a moment of creative anarchy and reappropriation of childhood symbols among the little ones. And also, try to make them learn to occupy public space and actively participate in art, creating a stamp of their own identity and making them dynamic citizens.
All this works as a personal reaffirmation and loudspeaker for the little ones, and to de-demonize graffiti and street art as something more than vandalism.
This work serves as an example that public space is a place where many realities coexist.
