Project Description

Lend a safe book

Regularly in France, you can find a participatory library on your way. What is a participatory library?
On the ground floor of your house, in the middle of the park next door, there may be a container housing various books from all over the world. These books are all yours on one condition: that you exchange them with other books that are gathering dust in your own library.
Books that have fed your imagination can also feed someone else’s in this way.

If this principle works very well in normal times, it is much more complicated to access a stranger’s book, recovered in a park, in times of pandemic, while remaining protected.

This new utopian and technological participatory library makes it possible. Here you can put the book you want to discover in one of the boxes. Once placed in the box, it will be locked for a week, the time needed for decontamination, and then unlocked, offering a safe book to anyone with a thirst for reading. You too can borrow a safe book that has been in the library for a week.
